Sensors & Options

• Global Radiation: The radiation sensor is adjustable and can be set to provide global radiation. Select up to three radiation sensors.
• Flat Array Radiation: A separate flat array sensor is supplied with a mounting bracket to attach to the side of the PV panel. This bracket is not adjustable. Select up to three radiation sensors.
• Back Panel Temperature: These sensors are attached to the back of the PV panel using thermally conductive tape. They provide accurate panel temperature, an important parameter for monitoring performance. Each system is equipped with one sensor. The PVMet 500 supports three sensors if required.
• Ambient Air Temperature: The ambient air temperature sensor is housed in a passive solar shield for increased accuracy.
• Wind Speed and Direction: The mini-vane anemometer provides both wind speed and wind direction information.
• Relative Humidity Sensor: Includes an integrated relative humidity sensor.
• Barometric Pressure Sensor: Includes an integrated barometric pressure sensor.
• Ultrasonic Anemometer: This ultrasonic sensor is designed with no moving parts to avoid mechanical damage and ensure reliable operation. Ultrasonic anemometers/vanes provide very stable results over long periods of time and require virtually no maintenance. Each LCJ sensor is fully tested before shipping.
• Aervane Mini Sensor: Our mini rain gauges use an internal, non-contact magnetic system that provides continuous horizontal wind monitoring, with no mechanical parts to wear out over time and need replacement. The rugged construction can withstand the harshest conditions from -40º ~ 140º F. Each sensor is individually tested before shipping.
• Rain Gauge Sensor: The RainWise rain gauge features an extra-large 8-inch diameter rainwater collection tube that meets NWS (USA) specifications for statistical accuracy. Each end of the rainwater collection tube is manually calibrated to measure rainfall to the hundredth of an inch.
